A five day meet to celebrate the Queen’s Jubilee.
A good opportunity to explore this tranquil area of East Sussex. The site is quite level and surrounded by meadows and woodland. The Raystead Animal Sanctuary is just a short drive from the site and is well worth a visit. The historic town of Lewis is also nearby and worth visiting. A quiet weekend is planned in this secluded rural site in its woodland location. It provides many opportunities for walking and rambling and is just a short drive to Petworth. The town’s shops provide all your essentials and dining out or take away food supplies.
The main attraction is Petworth House. A 17th Century National Trust managed Estate including the Magnificent Stately Home and vast parkland, landscaped by Capability Brown. The Art Galleries include many original paintings by John Constable and JWM Turner, to name but a few….

The chilly evenings are a lot warmer when gathered around the bonfire.
